About FCD Cares
FCD Cares, is an initiative of The Fund for Charitable Development, Inc., a Public Charity. FCD Cares is staffed by accomplished volunteers with backgrounds in such areas as business management, fund-raising, grass roots community outreach, health-care, marketing and promotions. Additionally, our speakers visit local civic clubs, hospitals, businesses and community organizations to help locate Children and their low-income poverty level Families in their communities.
The Fund for Charitable Development, Inc. , public charity non-profit corporation, was established in June of 2009. It is a simple, straightforward approach that offers a distinct organizational structure and advantages. In the FCD’s Multi-initiative structure, there is one parent corporation that, from time-to-time, may consists of several different initiatives operating separate not-for-profit causes, programs or projects under the FCD’s 501(c)(3) Public Charity status.
Our vision is, where in, local communities all Children with Birth defects and Disabilities have access to financial assistance, and their families are supported and actively involved in their children's care. We seek a country where poverty has been overcome and all people live with dignity and security. We work to strengthen local communities by encouraging and supporting effective giving and by providing leadership on critical issues for our low-income, poverty level citizens.
Our programs and services provided, helps develop and enrich our communities in numerous ways, enhancing the quality of life for many Children and families, as well as, encourage their economic growth. In an era of growing needs and shrinking resources, communities are being asked to do even more with less, placing additional strain on already limited resources. Our Care for Children with Birth Defects, Disabilities and their poverty level mothers and families program, help to lessen the burden on the community by helping to offset the enormous extra-ordinary cost of caring for babies with birth defect disabilities. Increasing our commitment of support and strengthening networks with peer institutions, civic leaders, elected officials and other stakeholders for poverty-level mother and families that have babies and children with birth defect has direct benefits and positive impact on the communities we serve.

FCD Cares is grateful to the individuals who have helped us fulfill our mission to locate and provide financial support to families with a child that has a birth defect disability. Through the work of dedicated volunteers, we continue to expand awareness about our mission and generate new streams of revenue to fund our efforts. The “Care for Children with Birth Defects and Disabilities program” can provide support to many more families battling poverty thanks to the commitment and compassion of our advocates.
We recognize and honor the extraordinary individuals who we proudly salute for their continued support, creativity, and steadfast dedication to Children with Birth Defects, Disabilities and their low-income, poverty level Families. From speaking with local organizations and people in the community, our ambassadors are dedicated volunteers who raise support and awareness for our programs in their hometowns and around their State. They share our resources and information, throughout their local communities to help people take action and improve the quality of life for Children with Birth Defects and Disabilities.
